Unchain Morgan County
Unchain Morgan County is a unified effort of the concerned
citizens created to make it illegal to tether/chain a dog for an
indefinate period of time.  Many dogs in our county live their
entire lives tied to a chain.  People don't spend the time to train
them properly and their answer to their own failure is to chain the
dog outside for the rest of its life.  This is an inhuman way for a
dog to spend its life.

Studies have shown that tethered dogs are much more likely to be
aggressive.  Most dog bites are from dogs that have broken free
of their tethering device.  It is exceptionally inhuman to tether an
unspayed female as she cannot escape the numerous male
visitors she entices.

Dogs are not equipped to live through the cold of the winter or the
heat of the summer with just a dog house.  They lack appropriate
water in the winter due to the freezing temperatures.  Many times
they spill their water with their own tethering device which can be
deadly in the heat of the summer.

Fox Creek Farm is an active contributor to the "Unchain Morgan
County" effort.  It is hopeful that strict guidelines will be
incorporated into the ordinance to specify the maximum hours per
day a dog can be tethered.   It is also hopeful that penalties will be
severe enough to make families realize it is a crime to treat a dog
in this manner.

Please know that Fox Creek Farm will not sell a puppy to any
person that does not agree to raise the puppy in their house and
to make it a member of their family.
