FCF Standard of Quality
All of our parent dogs are health tested and cleared by OFA for issues of the hips, eyes, elbows, patellas and heart defects as well as being DNA tested for three mutations of Progressive Retinal Atrophy, Degenerative Myelopathy, Ichthyosis, Neonatal Encephalitis with Seizures, and von Willebrand’s Disease. They are conscientiously bred to avoid passing on undesirable traits. Spaying/Neutering is required by 12 mos. of age. Dew claws are removed from puppies at three days of age. Puppies leave us at a minimum age of eight weeks and are up to date on vaccinations and dewormings. Our puppies are microchipped before leaving us and are well socialized with people and grown dogs. They typically learn to go in and out of a doggy door at four weeks of age. By six weeks of age, our puppies are also litter box trained and by eight weeks of age, then know how to sit. New owners receive periodic emailed photos of the entire litter from birth to six weeks of age so they can “watch” the puppies grow.
We only breed mulitgens (Goldendoodle x Goldendoodle) due to their higher non-shed success rate. We can produce Goldendoodles anywhere from 15 to 65 lb. Please find more info on Goldendoodle sizes here: About Goldendoodles Fox Creek Farm welcomes first time puppy owners as we provide a vast amount of tutorial information to help you prepare for the arrival of your new puppy! All of our puppies learn how to sit before leaving us.
Early Neurological Stimulation
We also use Dr. Battaglia’s Early Neurological Stimulation protocols on the puppies from day 3-16 of their life. An explanation of the benefits are listed below:
Five benefits have been observed in canines that were exposed to the Bio Sensor stimulation exercises. The benefits noted are the following: Improved cardio vascular performance (heart rates), stronger heart beats, stronger adrenal glands, more tolerance to stress, and greater resistance to disease
In tests of learning, stimulated pups were found to be more active and were more exploratory than their non- stimulated littermates over which they were dominant in competitive situations.
Secondary effects were also noted regarding test performance. In simple problem solving tests using detours in a maze, the non-stimulated pups became extremely aroused, whined a great deal, and made many errors. Their stimulated littermates were less disturbed or upset by test conditions and when comparisons were made, the stimulated littermates were more calm in the test environment, made fewer errors and gave only an occasional distress sound when stressed.
