FCF Standard of Quality
We are certified Blue Ribbon Breeders with The Goldendoodle Association of North America and we are are rated as Excellent Breeders with Gooddog.
We focus on many things in our program with health, conformation to the Goldendoodle Breed Standard and temperament being of utmost importance. All of our parent dogs are fully health tested, meaning they are cleared by OFA for issues of the hips, eyes, elbows, patellas and heart defects as well as being DNA tested for three mutations of Progressive Retinal Atrophy, Degenerative Myelopathy, Ichthyosis, Neonatal Encephalitis with Seizures, and von Willebrand’s Disease. They are conscientiously bred to avoid passing on undesirable traits. Spaying/Neutering is required by 12 mos. of age. Puppies leave us at a minimum age of eight weeks and are up to date on vaccinations and dewormings. Our puppies are microchipped before leaving us and are well socialized with people and grown dogs. They typically learn to go in and out of a doggy door at four weeks of age. By six weeks of age, our puppies are also litter box trained and by eight weeks of age, they know how to sit. New owners receive periodic emailed photos of the entire litter from birth to six weeks of age so they can “watch” the puppies grow.
* We no longer remove front dew claws.
We only breed mulitgens (Goldendoodle x Goldendoodle) due to their higher non-shed success rate. We can produce Goldendoodles anywhere from 15 to 65 lb. Please find more info on Goldendoodle sizes here: About Goldendoodles Fox Creek Farm welcomes first time puppy owners, as we provide a vast amount of tutorial information to help you prepare for the arrival of your new puppy! Exposure to Different Environments
Our puppies are raised indoors, but have exposure to many different environments such as loud noises, different types of flooring, different type of walls, cats, different rooms, different lighting, darkness, full lighting, car rides, vets, strangers and much more.
Additionally, we expose puppies to “scary noises” such as tarps, wobble boards, different sounding and feeling toys, vacuums as well as a scary noises CD that includes honking horns, baby crying noises, trains, dogs barking, traffic, sirens and alarms and more. This is done delicately to coach puppies through the stress of scary noises in a positive way.
Early Neurological Stimulation
We also use Dr. Battaglia’s Early Neurological Stimulation protocols on the puppies from day 3-16 of their life. An explanation of the benefits are listed below:
Five benefits have been observed in canines that were exposed to the Bio Sensor stimulation exercises. The benefits noted are the following: Improved cardio vascular performance (heart rates), stronger heart beats, stronger adrenal glands, more tolerance to stress, and greater resistance to disease
In tests of learning, stimulated pups were found to be more active and were more exploratory than their non- stimulated littermates over which they were dominant in competitive situations.
Secondary effects were also noted regarding test performance. In simple problem solving tests using detours in a maze, the non-stimulated pups became extremely aroused, whined a great deal, and made many errors. Their stimulated littermates were less disturbed or upset by test conditions and when comparisons were made, the stimulated littermates were more calm in the test environment, made fewer errors and gave only an occasional distress sound when stressed.
