FCF Standard of Quality

Our parent dogs are tested for hip, eye, elbow, patellas and heart defects as well as being DNA tested for three mutations of Progressive Retinal Atrophy, Degenerative Myelopathy, Ichthyosis, and vonWillebrands Disease. They are conscientiously bred to avoid passing on undesirable traits. Copies of certifications and a three generation GANA pedigree for each parent accompany each puppy to its new home as well as a two year genetic defect warranty and a GANA registration application. We also provide a certificate for 30 days of free health insurance for all puppies leaving us at 8 weeks of age. Spaying/Neutering is required by 7 mos. of age. Dew claws are removed from puppies at three days of age. Puppies leave us at a minimum age of eight weeks and are up to date on vaccinations and dewormings. Our puppies are microchipped before leaving us and are well socialized with people, grown dogs, and cats. They typically learn to go in and out of a doggy door at four weeks of age. By six weeks of age, our puppies are also litter box trained. New owners receive periodic emailed photos of the entire litter from birth to six weeks of age so they can “watch” the puppies grow.
